How to add product Details

At times, you may wish to give buyers more information during their buying experience.

At HeadQ, the Details feature allows you to enrich your product and configuration experiences by adding supplementary information that helps buyers make informed decisions. This function can be used at multiple levels — product, option, and answer — and supports not only text but also images, videos, and GIFs to create engaging, visually informative content.

Elevate your buyer’s journey by using the Details feature to explain product features, highlight key functionality, and provide additional context exactly where it’s needed.

Adding Images, Videos, and GIFs in Details
The Details editor supports images, videos, and GIFs in addition to text.

These can be added directly through the edit view of the Details section.

Using visuals here is an excellent way to illustrate a specific functionality, demonstrate how a feature works, or show the benefits of an option in more detail. For example, you might include:

• A short video showing how a product part operates

• A GIF demonstrating a visual change or animation

• Additional product or material photos to clarify a specification

You can freely mix text and visual elements to make the content more engaging and easy to understand.

Levels Where You Can Add Details

You can add Details content on three different levels, depending on what type of information you want to show and where:

1. Product-Level Details

Added directly through the product edit view.
Use this to provide general information about the product itself — such as specifications, instructions, or an overview of available configurations.

2. Option-Level Details

Added within an option’s settings.
Typically used to describe the entire option group (for example, “Power source” or “Frame type”).
You can also decide how the details link appears:

• As a button below the option’s choices, or

• As a link text above the option’s choices.

This gives you flexibility in how information is presented within the configurator.

3. Option Answer-Level Details

Each answer option can have its own Details field and its own images or videos.
This is especially useful when you want to explain or illustrate specific answer choices — for instance, showing what a particular color, material, or accessory looks like.
