Storefront Settings
This article provides a quick overview of Storefront settings in HeadQ and explains how you can configure your Storefront independently from your main website. It covers where to find the settings and how to manage domains, carts, countries, currencies, pricebooks, and languages for your Storefront.
Note: Storefront settings are only visible and available to customers who have purchased the Storefront add-on, a paid add-on.
You can find all Storefront-related settings under:
Settings → Storefront
These settings allow you to control how your Storefront behaves independently from your store defaults.
Custom Domain
By default, your Storefront is available at: https://yourstorename.myheadq.com. You can replace this default address with a subdomain of your own website (for example, store.yourcompany.com).
How to change the domain
-
In Storefront → Custom Domain, click Change.
-
Enter the desired domain or subdomain.
-
HeadQ will automatically generate the required DNS records.
-
Share these DNS settings with the responsible person in your organization (or your IT partner) and have them applied.

Once the DNS settings are in place, the new domain will start working. The default myheadq.com address will continue to work for a short period alongside the new domain, ensuring a smooth transition.
General Settings
Storefront general settings allow you to override storefront behavior independently from your store defaults.
Default Cart
Define which cart type the Storefront should use.
This can differ from the cart behavior on your public website. For example:
-
Public website: Quote Cart
-
Storefront: Shopping Cart
This makes it possible to offer different buying experiences for different channels.
Tip: CPQs used inside the Storefront follow their own CPQ-specific settings and are not affected by this cart selection.
Countries Selling To
Here, you can define which countries you sell to through the Storefront.
When opening this setting:
-
HeadQ automatically loads the available countries from your general settings.
-
You can then remove or add countries specifically for the Storefront.

For each country, you can also define:
-
Language
-
Currency
-
Pricebook

This means you can fully control country-specific behavior in the Storefront. For example:
-
Use only one currency in the Storefront
-
Apply a dedicated pricebook with Storefront-specific pricing
Languages
Define which languages are available in the Storefront.
By default, HeadQ loads the languages from your general settings, but you can override this selection specifically for the Storefront.
Example use case:
-
Public website: multiple local languages
-
Storefront: English only
This allows you to keep the Storefront experience focused and straightforward, even if your main website supports several languages.

How Licensing Affects Storefront Settings
It’s important to note that the Storefront follows your store’s main license limitations, especially when it comes to languages, currencies, and pricebooks. For example, if your license allows only one language and one currency, you will not be able to enable multiple languages or currencies in the Storefront. In practice, this means that Storefront configuration options are available within the boundaries defined by your active HeadQ license.
