Require customers to enter a real email address in lead generation

The Validate email addresses feature checks every email address entered in your configurator before a customer can receive a price in exchange for their contact details. This way, only real and valid email addresses are accepted, ensuring higher-quality data and more reliable leads. The validation happens instantly in the background, so the customer won’t notice any delay when submitting their email.

Available with any of the following subscriptions:  Growth, Enterprise.

How to enable

You can turn this feature on by going to:
Settings → Data Management → Leads and toggling Validate email addresses.

How it works for CPQ users

If a customer enters an invalid email, the configurator displays an inline error message below the email field and price module, prompting them to provide a valid email address before continuing. This works the same way as with blocking specific email domains.

Recommendation

We recommend making it clear in the Contact details section of your configurator what type of email addresses are expected (for example, “Please use your work email”). This sets the right expectation for your customers and helps you collect better-quality leads.

When combined with the blocking specific email domains feature, you’ll have a highly effective and result-driven lead generation process.
